Do you offer free samples?

In general, no. We are not a big business. Samples are extremely costly and time consuming to make. Moreover, we do not profit whatsoever from samples. It takes a lot of time to bottle, label and package perfume samples. We kindly ask that you respect our time and our craft and purchase samples if you are curious about our fragrances. However, it is occasional when we provide free samples at events or for feedback with R & D and exclusive projects. 

Where are fūm fragrances made?

All of our products are handmade in our lab in Los Angeles.

Are your fragrances unisex?

We’re not sure how it became, “feminine” to smell like flowers and, “masculine” to smell like spices, wood and musk. At fūm we believe aromas have no gender assignments. We create all-gender perfumes. We believe in wearing what you want to smell like. Don’t worry about what anyone else thinks. Be yourself.

Your perfumes smell so realistic! Are your fragrances all natural?

Our fragrances contain over 90% natural ingredients; organic, biodynamic and wildcrafted when possible. However, our perfumes are considered mixed media. They contain synthetic aroma chemicals and preservatives to minimize degradation of the natural ingredients in our fragrances. Unless otherwise designated in the product listing, our products are not 100% natural. 

Are your fragrances organic?

Our ingredients come from all over the world. We always use the highest quality ingredients we can find, and buy organic ingredients whenever they are available. If we cannot find an organic option, our ingredients are almost certainly from wild harvests. Our products are not certified organic but contain over 80% certified natural and organic ingredients.

Do your perfumes expire?

Yes. Our products contain a high percentage of natural ingredients. We recommend using your perfumes within 24 months from date or purchase. 

Are your fragrances safe for children or pregnancy?

Fragrance is generally recognized as safe but we find it best to be fragrance free when pregnant and/or nursing. We are not doctors. Always get the advise of a medical professional and pediatrician when exploring if fragrance is suitable for application on yourself or your child.

Are your fragrances hypoallergenic and/or allergen free?

There are ubiquitous examples for these terms in fragrance lately. We believe it all depends on your body and individual chemistry. From our professional findings there is no, “one size fits all” designation for these terms and we do not make these claims with our products. Know your body and beware of greenwashing marketing assertions for, “hypoallergenic” and “allergen free” products. We recommend you sample our fragrances first to see if they are right for you.

How long do your fragrances last?

Unfortunately, there is no one answer to this question either. This too depends on your body chemistry. Although our perfumes are formulated for longevity, sillage and projection, the wearer has a part in the relationship of how long the perfume lasts. For extending the aroma of fragrance, we suggest applying perfume to freshly moisturized skin as well as to clothing, hair and fashion accessories.

Are your fragrances Vegan?

Mostly, yes. Ariose and Ramble On contain natural beeswax.

Are your fragrances cruelty free?

Always, yes.

Do you have an Instagram?

We used to! And oh how we miss it… So many good times there! We recently got rid of all Meta platforms because we do not agree with supporting oligarchy. The new government administration has had negative impacts on our business, hence the exit from Meta.

When will my order ship?

Most orders are processed same day but please allow us extra time during peak business operations.

There was a mistake with my order. Can I change or cancel my order once placed?

Please reach out as soon as you discover the mistake and we will do our best to correct your order. 

What do I do if I received the wrong product or damaged product?

Oh no! Please reach out to us as soon as possible with photos of any damage and your order number so we can quickly work to help you. 

What do I do if my order is marked delivered but I haven’t received it?

From time to time, USPS may mark your order as delivered when it’s only reached your local dispatcher. Please allow 2 business days for them to complete your order. If it still hasn’t arrive by this time, please contact us and we will work to resolve as quick as possible.
